1. Earned a J.D. degree and admitted to practice law in the U.S. with good standing
2. 1-3 years of law experience preferred
7 f, H2 E5 ^3 M5 u) C0 |3. Fluency in English and Chinese (Written and oral) is strongly preferred
4. Excellent writing, legal research, and oral presentation skills
5. Ability to multitask and also manage heavy load

The New York Chinese Legal Service Center provides various services for Chinese residents in the U.S. including:

1、Efficient handling of marriage green card applications, family sponsorships, and various immigration cases
0 W2 b& A3 q$ Y. Q2、Reentry permits, application for citizenship, green card, work permit applications, and extensions
: G- H! J: n1 C% L( c: r9 [3 P3、Passport applications and renewals for both China and the U.S., embassy-authorized notarization and authentication
5 i* H) k' k' T4、Obtaining a Taxpayer identification number for individuals without legal status, personal and corporate tax filings, handling various tax bureau correspondences.
5、Applying for government housing, elderly apartments, food stamps, cash subsidies, and various welfare benefits.
5 D* ~5 v2 M; ~. X6、Processing retirement pensions, red and blue cards, bank cards, medicare cards, medicaid cards, senior citizen half-price subway cards, etc.
7、Student visa applications, F-1 visas, from application to obtaining an I-20 and then scheduling a visa appointment.
